PERSONAL STATEMENT

Have you found yourself trying to navigate life with suicidal thoughts, self-harm, substance use, or disordered eating? Have you had  difficulty regulating your emotions due to depression, bipolar disorder, or anxiety? I specializing in helping people to resolve these uncomfortable feelings that can lead to self-destructive behaviors.

There's an exhaustion & isolation that can come from these struggles. One can feel trapped in a cycle, simultaneously yearning for change but also fearing it. These behaviors can become deeply ingrained in one's identity, making the idea of letting go daunting. I want my clients to know there's more to them than their struggles. I'm here to support and guide them as they uncover their resilience and empowerment.

Through my experience in conducting group and individual psychotherapy at the inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care for both adolescents and adults, I have found that the best therapeutic approach is the one that suits the individual in front of me. I primarily draw from dialectical behavior therapy, while also incorporating acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and a sprinkle of existential therapy when appropriate. I love getting to know what my client truly values, and have those values guide our direction in therapy. I meet my clients where they are, simultaneously holding space for their emotions, thoughts, and current behaviors; all while gently guiding them out of the patterns that have been keeping them stuck. My goal is to strike a balance in our time together, seamlessly blending acceptance and change strategies to ensure a comprehensive and supportive therapeutic experience.

If you’re ready to discover your authentic self underneath self-destructive tendencies, please reach out.  You deserve to live a life in which you are excited to participate— not just a life that you passively tolerate. That life is out there, waiting for you. I would love to walk alongside you on your journey to help you create the life that is worth living for you.
