PERSONAL STATEMENT
Have you found yourself trying to navigate life with suicidal thoughts, self-harm, substance use, or overwhelming emotional pain? Do you struggle to regulate emotions due to depression, anxiety, or the lingering effects of trauma? I specialize in helping people untangle the distress that often leads to self-destructive behaviors.
There’s an exhaustion and isolation that can come from these struggles. You might feel stuck in a cycle; yearning for change, yet also fearing it. These behaviors and emotional patterns can become deeply ingrained in our identities, making the idea of letting go feel terrifying or impossible. But there is more to you than your pain or your past. I’m here to help you reconnect with your resilience, your values, and your empowerment.
I love getting to know what my clients truly value, and letting those values guide the direction of our work. I aim to meet clients exactly where they are—holding space for their emotions, thoughts, and current behaviors—while gently guiding them out of the patterns that have been keeping them stuck. My goal is to strike a balance in our time together, blending acceptance and change strategies to ensure a comprehensive and supportive therapeutic experience.
Through my experience providing individual and group therapy at the inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care for both adolescents and adults, I’ve learned that the most effective therapeutic approach is one that’s tailored to the person in front of me. I primarily draw from dialectical behavior therapy, while also incorporating acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and existential therapy when appropriate. I am also trained in Prolonged Exposure therapy for PTSD and offer this evidence-based treatment to clients who feel ready to safely process and work through traumatic experiences.
If you’re ready to explore life beyond survival mode and reconnect with who you are underneath the pain, please reach out. You deserve to create a life that feels worth living—not one you passively tolerate. That life is possible, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you find it.
